Terms of Use

1. Provider and acceptance
DeChaos ("Service", "we", "us", "our") is a personal-productivity application, comprising the web application at dechaos.humanitics.eu and the DeChaos add-ons for Gmail™ and Microsoft™ Outlook™, operated by Azeast, obrt, Opora 11, 51219 Čavle, Croatia (OIB: 34297850112). You can reach us at vjakomin@gmail.com.
By creating an account, installing an add-on, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
DeChaos helps you capture, organise, and track tasks. It can turn emails and other input into structured tasks using automated processing and artificial intelligence, schedule reminders, and let you share lists and projects.
The Gmail™ add-on reads only the single message you currently have open, and only when you explicitly choose to create a task from it, in order to suggest a task title, due date, and details. It does not read your inbox or any other messages.
3. Accounts and registration
A DeChaos account is required to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, disrupting or overloading our systems, uploading unlawful, infringing, or malicious content, or using the Service to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.
We may suspend or limit access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or threatens the security or integrity of the Service.
5. Third-party services
To provide certain features, the Service transmits the content you submit to third-party processors: Google (for the Gmail™ integration), OpenAI (to extract task suggestions from your text and attachments), and Microsoft™ (for the Outlook™ integration). These providers process data on our behalf solely to deliver the requested functionality.
Your use of any connected third-party service is also subject to that provider’s own terms and policies.
6. Your data and privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and, for the Gmail™ add-on specifically, in the Gmail Add-on Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of the content you create in DeChaos and can review or delete it at any time.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. All third-party product names and logos are the property of their respective owners.
8. Google API Services — Limited Use
DeChaos’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use Gmail™ data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not allow humans to read it except as necessary to provide the feature with your consent, for security, or where required by law.
9. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time. Where reasonable, we will give notice of significant changes.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important information.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia and applicable European Union law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence remain unaffected.
